The Word – Vindication!

The Word – Vindication!

Hey hey hey!

Happy new month!!!😇😎🙌

How are you sweet one? I hope you’re as awesome as awesome can be. I want you to know that I’m constantly praying for you. Yes, I am! These aren’t just words I push out, I take all readers to God in prayers; and it’s a privilege to pray!

Pray always, about everything and everybody. Everything and everyone needs prayers.

This is even a perfect introduction to what I’m about to share. I didn’t even know it’d be.

Let me just first say this – God will pay you back, IN FULL! If you’ve ever been hurt or cheated unfairly, your Lord will vindicate you.

I was leaving for home on Sunday, the 20th day of December last year. So, I washed early on Thursday and dried my clothes on our line. (Normal, shey?)

I got home late that day because we were still writing exams and felt the nudge to get my clothes before going to bed. (Dont ever ignore the Holy Spirit when He puts something in your heart as a burden.) But… I was tired!

So, I left the clothes with the hope that they’d be just fine. However, as I slept that night, I knew something was happening to my clothes. Lol. I can’t even explain it, but, it was like I could feel danger for my clothes. Lol.

Anyway, I found out the next day that 3 of my VERY precious clothes had been stolen. It had never happened before and it pained me! Ahh, it pained me o.

My roommate who was to wash that day got scared that her clothes will also get missing. And she was angry for me, because she actually knew that I had a special attachment to the specific clothes that were taken. Lol.

We started to openly rant (outside, where our neighbors could hear) that it was unfair for anyone to steal from these two simple Nigerian girls that never looked for anyone’s trouble.

Then, I stopped and begged my roommate to let it be too.

Straight up, I took it to God.

I told Him plainly that it was paining me bajebaje that those clothes had been stolen and that He should vindicate me.

When I said that prayer, I actually didn’t know what I even meant by asking Him to vindicate me. I just thought maybe He’d make me catch the thief. LOL. His vindication was much better than that.

I’m not even joking. Every time I went to visit my first sister, she ALWAYS packed beautiful clothes for me to take home for myself.

Out of the blue, my third sister asked me to come to her place to take clothes. Another set of beautiful clothes.

Till I was packing to leave home the day before yesterday, my second sister put clothes into my box.

I got clothes from the time I got home till the time I left.

I jokingly told my third sister that it was my prayer that was hooking her (because she was even giving me some of her own best clothes. Lol), but she said ‘I just feel like giving you ni.’

But God and I know the person who put ‘the feeling’ in their hearts. God had vindicated me. And He had gone all out to do it!

See, let me be real with you. I wanted to swear and shout and knock on my neighbors doors one by one till I found my clothes. I think I even abused the person once. But God calmed me and asked me to leave it to Him. And it payed me after.

So, what have people done to you? Are you going through something that you know people purposely did to you. It might even be more serious than people stealing your clothes. Much more serious.

Don’t get bitter or try to fight by yourself. Take it to God. Tell Him plainly how the thing is paining you, but that you don’t want to hate or keep a grudge.

Then ask Him to vindicate you. Take it all and drop it at His feet. Don’t pick it back up.

You’d be amazed how things will turn out for your good. You’d be amazed what vindication means to God. And you’d be grateful that you didn’t fight anyone, but you fought on your knees. And your God answered!

Praise Jesus! Let Him vindicate you.

Psalm 17 is deep, but sends this message across just like David always does.

Hear, O Lord, my righteous plea; listen to my cry.

Give ear to my prayer- it does not rise from deceitful lips.

May my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right.

Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my heart will not sin.

As for the deeds of men- by the word of your lips I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.

My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not slipped.

I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.

Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings from the wicked who assail me, from the mortal enemies who surround me.

They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance.

They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.

They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a great lion crouching in cover.

Rise up, O Lord, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.

O Lord, by your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life.

You still the hunger of those you cherish; their sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.

And I – in righteousness I will eee your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.

I hope you were blessed by this! My heart burst with gratitude as I wrote it. The person can keep the clothes. Lol.

Have a week filled with satisfaction in Christ. Rest.

This month is going to be amazing for us all!

I feel like God wants me to share something deep on Wednesday. I’m still secretly fighting it, but come Wednesday, I’d share. Make sure to come right back to read about what I’m currently going through in my Christian walk with Christ.

Do share your stories, thoughts and prayers with us. We love them!

Love always,

God is magnanimous and the way he does his things is beyond comprehension. Reminds me of the scripture that says revenge is of the lord. Like don’t try and take revenge or vindicate yourself. You will wear out while trying to do that. Just leave it to the one that can.

The thing is the righteous who has been saved through the blood of Jesus is so precious in God’s eyes. Extremely precious and so he won’t take it lightly if anyone tries to tamper with you unless he allows it. That should make our heart swell with joy and peace because we know we never have to vindicate ourselves. God enjoys doing it for us.

Lol about the clothes. More always come in when you let go of the ones that were taken.

    • He’s mysterious like that o. I’m reminded of the verse that says to hold our peace and leave every battle to Him.(Paraphrased)

It’s so true that we’re precious to God o. He doesn’t play with His property at all! If you’re in the family;your enemies are in trouble. Lol.

Well, it’s not that serious, but I used the cloth illustration to encourage anyone going through tougher stuff.

      Thanks! Muah!
