Here’s why you are a THIRSTY Single…

Hey hey hey... Let's be truthful, many of us are (or used to be) thirsty. And it's not for water. Few months ago, I realized that I was no longer serious with my fitness plan. Obviously, I started gaining back the weight I had lost, but I gave myself a mental consolation. I told myself I was going to be fit when I found my fit partner so that we can be fit together. Thirsty. If we're really close and talked about size before, you'd know that I don't believe people are big because they have big bones. Yes, the family might have big members but no one has a fat skeleton. I have friends who admire men with big…

Pikin way go spoil, go spoil!

Pikin way go spoil, go spoil!

Hey hey heeey...   "I do not believe in God." What would you do if your Child said this to you? Slap. Beat. Knock. Shout. Cry. Condemn. Walkout. Pray. I think a lot of things will go through your mind at that moment. Even now, you're probably saying- 'God forbid!' But this is the reality that many families face. 5 things and people I currently love.

Hey hey heeey... Here are 5 things and people I currently love. Steven Furtick! I've been watching more of his messages. I have been following him on Instagram for a while now, but his messages have really blessed me. I listened to one to end my birthday on the 17th and it really was a message I needed. Especially because God had given me 1 Timothy 6:6 as a word for my new age. Godliness with contentment is great gain. (more…)

Working for God in the marketplace.

Hey hey heeey...       How are you and yours? Hope body dey kampe? (Hope you're strong?) I read a book in June by the CEO of the organization I work for titled 'Working for God in the marketplace.' Somehow, I noticed the book had a similar format with Letters to Our Fathers. It had 5 stories of people in different careers, struggling to represent God in their work. It's one of my best reads for the year-(I've been reading 3 or 4 books per month). It made me hungry to introduce colleagues to God, with my attitude and every other thing about me. But something happened yesterday and I thought to share with you. (more…)

Lessons from my mentors: Benedicta O. A

Hey hey heeeey.   Let me confess- I did not feel like blogging today. But since feelings aren't meant to rule us, I sent the feeling on a holiday. Today's post is about my first boss. Isn't it great to work for someone who does not only care about your career, but your personal life too? Technically, I don't work for her anymore but I still call her my boss. It's been about 3 years I actually worked under her. Everyone called her Ben, so I'm referring to her anywhere you see Ben in this post. I remember how I had told Ben about my Calabar roommate and how my best soup was Afang. (Thank God for my roommate, if…
