The Word – Laugh!

Hey hey hey!

Happy New Year loves!

It’s such a privilege to see another year. I danced my heart out on the 31st of December, 2015. At Daystar, we praise God in advance for everything, so when Pastor Nike (Pastor Sam’s wife) out of the blue said “No matter the exchange rate, your fees will be paid!” I was flabbergasted. She def was talking directly to me & so, I claimed it and danced even more!

I’ve noticed something. Every semester, when it’s time to pay my fees, the dollar rate shoots up. But, my God!!! To think I have just 3 semesters to go.

And they say God isn’t real…

Anyways. I should have penned this post down since! I can blame it on the festivities, but we all know it’s procrastination.

New year resolutions are not bad in themselves, but if I stand here and say I’d be perfect this year; it’s going to be a blatant lie. All I ask is for Grace through this year to fulfill my purpose, which doesn’t exclude writing on this blog.

Wait. Introduction starting to get long. Today’s message isn’t that long, but one that’d bless you.

Proverbs 31: 25. (NIV)

She is clothed with strength and dignity;

She can laugh at the days to come!

This is a verse I read more than a week ago. But it’s been stuck in my head since then.

I even went to hunt it in the Message Bible and King James, but the NIV verse stayed glued!

I meditated on it oooo!

And I started asking, why is the Proverbs 31 woman laughing at the days to come?

Does she see the future or something?

Then I pictured myself as the Proverbs 31 woman. I can laugh at the future.

Pastor Sam at church said something, “How do you know that the future will be ok? When you can’t picture God’s promises in His word and your present circumstance…

You know you will be ok because you and God are now one!

Ain’t no shattered future for God, ain’t no shattered future for me! Anything that can’t stop God, cant stop me, because God and I are partners!” (Paraphrased)

And it so resonates with that verse!

When people see you laughing at your future (the days to come) and they become perplexed because they expect you to be crying. They’re wondering- “What’s so funny to this one? Doesn’t he/she realize that his/her circumstances don’t go with laughter!”

It’s because they are myopic! But we can see what others can’t see, so we can laugh!

Hallelujah!

I have friends going through tough times in different aspects of life, and if you’re reading this, I encourage you today.

God is already in your future! No need to worry. No need to fret!

God says I will lend to Nations and not borrow.

My circumstances might not look like that promise yet, but God will have to be a liar for that promise not to be fulfilled!

And we all know God doesn’t tell lies!

In 2016, let’s remember the God we serve!

I feel like this year will involve a lot of stretching for me, but God knows I’m ready! If He doesn’t stretch me, I wouldn’t walk into His promises.

If I remain at my comfort zones, only ‘comfortable & manageable’ blessings will come my way.

I no wan manage. I want more from God.

Mobolaji (Insert name) is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Devil. Sorry, you lost this one!

*Moonwalks out of stage!*

Lol! Hey you!

I hope you’re not sitting somewhere looking all gloomy because you don’t think your future will be awesome?

Maybe you need to go and read Proverbs 31 and declare great favour upon your life.

My sisters and I tell my parents mind blowing things we’re going to do for them in a few years.

Personally, everywhere I see a Prado Jeep (I don’t know why I love that car), I declare that I will singlehandedly buy one for my father in the next 5 years.

Sounds stupid abi?

Well, faith sounds stupid; until people begin to see the manifestation!

Haha! Pastor Sam’s words over me over the years cannot be wasted o. Ain’t no time for negativity!

Picture your wildest dreams…

Then believe that God can do even more!

Have a glorious 2016!

May we dance our hearts out on the 31st of December, 2016 again.

Remember though, seek first His righteousness…and all these things shall be added.

God’s gifts don’t come without God.

Remember to laugh! Laugh! Laugh!

Be filled with overflowing joy!

Love always,

B.
