Hey hey hey!
Happy new week everyone! It’s a blessing to see a new day and an opportunity to do more for God.
I pray that this week will be filled with pleasant surprises for us all. May we not be put to shame concerning any situation in Jesus name! Amen.
Let’s start with this question.
How do you know that your tomorrow will be alright?
How do you know that God indeed will secure your future?
Yesterday, Pastor Jooda (my Ghana Pastor) preached on something related to this question and it was obvious it was what many of us needed!
In this current state that the world is in, how are we assured that God truly will be faithful till the end?
I mean, we know people who started well, became big men and women and fell right back to their starting point.
So, what is the guarantee that ours will be different?
Ezekiel 35:11 NIV
I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord. (Note: More than before.)
Ezekiel 36:11 KJV
And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Haggai 2:1-9 ESV
In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by the hand of Haggai the prophet, “Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to all the remnant of the people, and say, ‘Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How do you see it now? Is it not as nothing in your eyes? Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord . Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord . Work, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts, according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not. For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’”
I’ve been listening to a lot of messages by Mensa Otabil, particularly on faith and I’ve been blessed! It’s such a beauty that this Christian race is not stagnant. He keeps teaching us things unknown as we follow Him.
Mensa Otabil helped me realize that I’ve been playing 10/10(joking) with the Word; that is, the Bible!
Let’s be truthful, how many of us are DELIBERATE about memorizing and attacking situations with the word of God. Many of us pray and pray amiss because we’re not using the Word in battle.
A friend shared a beautiful lesson God taught her with me. She said He told her to get a Word for EVERY situation in her life! This reminds me of E’s message on fighting. We fight with the Word because we fight FROM victory.
So, when we’re afraid of the future, do we search the word to understand what God has said about our future?
If you join the world to run North, South, East and West; you’re making a great mistake! For us, the direction of our legs should be to the throne.
Another thing that can cause us to have a fear of the future is when we don’t spend adequate time with God. Many of us still do the “Good Morning Jesus, thank you for waking me up. Please bless my day” kind of prayers. When we’re about to sleep we change it to “Thank you Lord for Today. Please, bless my sleep and wake me up tomorrow.”
These are shallow conversations with God that will not allow Him tell us about the future. If you want to know what God is saying about YOUR future, you don’t need your Pastor to lay hands on you or prophesy. Spend time with God for and by YOURSELF!
Joseph’s glory showed during the famine in Egypt. God used him to lead Egypt and placed him among Kings at a time when Egypt’s economy was terrible.
What is God saying to you about what you’re supposed to be doing right now? There’s always a link between your now and the future.
Inquire of Him and don’t let the world toss you around.
How do you know that the Future is better than what you’re currently experiencing?
Because God’s word says so- all we have to do is read it, know it, speak it, decree and declare it, believe it (if you can chew it sef, chew it) and stand on it. This is not the time to let the Devil steal the word of God concerning your life. And I’m talking about INDIVIDUAL promises and word here. Not the one declared for your Country and Church, though those are awesome too.
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.
Psalm 37: 34
Wait for the Lord and keep His way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
The final way to secure your future is this – Involve God in your life NOW.
Walk and serve Him right here and now. Surrender your all…
Lord, we ask that you hold us. Yes, Lord without you we’re aimless and confused. Help us to surrender our lives totally to you right now. We want to hear what you’re saying about our individual futures, help us! We know that you’re Almighty and All knowing, we need your presence in our lives. Reveal our purpose to us and lead us in the way that we should go. In Jesus name, Amen!
Thanks for reading!
I hope you’re blessed like me?
If you’re in a season of waiting, please, be mindful of the words you speak and the ones spoken over you. Don’t be there laughing when someone says something negative about you or your future; rebuke it there and then! In this Kingdom business, words aren’t to be joked with.
I pray again that lines will fall for us in pleasant places this month. May we know and love God all the days of our lives!
Have an amazing week ahead.
