Song recommendation: Ever be.

Hey hey hey.

I know last Fridays are for writers connect and we didn’t have it last month and wouldn’t this month too.

This is the last post for the year and nothing fits my testimony than this amazing song a sis and friend from Facebook sent to me.

The year 2016 didn’t turn out the way I planned, but I can thankfully say that most of what happened to me this year was God’s will. And I pray it continues like this…that God’s will will be done in my life.

I got home yesterday and started singing a hymn I learned as a child. I had to look for my roommates hymn book so I could sing the whole hymn and raised my hand in worship to my King. Jesus is amazing. (Hymn title: Take my life, and let it be)

I have many testimonies. Some have pain and growth in them, but are testimonies all the same. I remember how God told me before this year that 2016 will be a year of stretching for me. Now I know how true that word was and still is. To think I entered this year without an idea of writing a book, but God chose to write two. The testimonies since the release yesterday got me crying. Lol. Y’all know I have a lot of water in my eyes.

All I’m saying with this post is thank you Yahweh! You’re amazing.

And to you, dear blog reader and friend, thank you for walking with me here this year. God gave me a word yesterday and I must share it with you…

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, β€œI have no pleasure in them”:
Ecclesiastes 12:1 NKJV

NOW, not tomorrow, is the time to serve Jesus. We all pray to live long and see our grand children but the truth is that no one ever really knows when their time on earth will be done. Will you be prepared?

Do not postpone God like He is something on a ‘to-do’ list that you can procrastinate. Get to know Him as Lord and personal saviour. He’s real and will come in if you open up your heart to Him.
I pray for grace for us all in Jesus name.
Amen.

I haven’t forgotten the title of this post.

Here’s the song lyrics. I pray that this will be our testimony now and always in Jesus name.

“Ever Be”

Your love is devoted like a ring of solid gold
Like a vow that is tested like a covenant of old
Your love is enduring through the winter rain
And beyond the horizon with mercy for today
Faithful You have been and faithful you will be
You pledge yourself to me and it’s why I sing

Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips

You Father the orphan
Your kindness makes us whole
And you shoulder our weakness
And your strength becomes our own
Now you’re making me like you
Clothing me in white
Bringing beauty from ashes
For You will have Your bride
Free of all her guilt and rid of all her shame
And known by her true name and it’s why I sing

Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips

You will be praised You will be praised
With angels and saints we sing worthy are You Lord
You will be praised You will be praised
With angels and saints we sing worthy are You Lord
And it’s why I sing

Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips
Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips

See you in 2017, by God’s grace!

Love always,
Mobolaji.

Please note that there will be no posts in the first week of the new year. I’d probably be online though, so you can say hi on social media. Lol.

  1. Thanks for all the thoughtful words penned down this year-lessons, encouragements and all, God bless you for everything. God has been telling me that 2017 would be a year of pruning for me, I don’t know what it holds but I choose to trust Him and let His will be done in my life.
Thanks for being a blessing. Pray 2017 brings you into more intimacy with God and let His plans and purposes for your life be fulfilled.
    Happy new year in advance…πŸ’•

And for pruning, embrace it sis. It’s a beautiful journey…That’s what He told me before this year and it has been fulfilling. Sometimes you’d cry and it will be hard for the flesh, but that’s the only way to spiritual growth. And for believers, we will be pruned till we get to meet Jesus face to face so the sooner we embrace it, the better!

  2. “This year 2016, didn’t turn out the way I planned but I can thankfully say that most of what happened to me this year was God’s will” this is absolutely my own reality this year too.
